Build Yourself

Mixed fitness focused on strength, speed and endurance

Monday 5:15pm, 6:15pm  | Wednesday 5:15pm, 6:15pm  | Saturday 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm


Push Yourself

Traditional boxing techniques mixed with intense cardio and plyometric movements

Meet Our Staff


Justin Montroy


Justin joined The Studio staff in 2015. He received his USAW Certification in 2016, and has been teaching boxing classes, such as cardio boxing and circuit boxing, for all ages. Justin has trained hundreds of people in the Rochester area before opening up his own gym in downtown Grand Rapids. Justin brings hard work and dedication to his clients and the community. He has several years of experience in strength training, speed and agility, and endurance training. Justin's boxing classes are tailored to the client and brings out the best in you.


Malia Brooks


Malia is a passionate and dedicated individual who believes in the power of exercise. She graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Exercise Science. She has been coaching individuals in both swimming and group exercise for several years. In April of 2019, she received her AFAA Group Fitness Instructor Certification. She completed 5 years of Taekwondo and has ample experience with strength training and playing sports. Malia strives to educate and empower her clients so they can achieve their goals.


Shawn Jackson


Shawn is a former collegiate football player that has shifted into the field of coaching and training. Shawn has his Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science  from Hope College and has earned his IYCA and FootDoctor Sports Certified Speed and Agility Specialist Certification. He has been taking part in training himself and training athletes for the over 10 years. "There is nothing more exciting to me than seeing the hard work pay off for my clients! At The Studio, I will bring innovative training and recovery, and impact the lives of many."
